Could there be a link between “Cloud Seeding” and “Climate Change”?

According to wikipedia. “Cloud seeding is a type of weather modification that aims to change the amount or type of precipitation that falls from clouds by dispersing substances into the air that serve as cloud condensation or ice nuclei, which alter the microphysical processes within the cloud”.

For the many followers of the ongoing debate and discussion surrounding Climate Change. Another related topic that seems to escape much intrigue or investigation is Cloud Seeding, and the diverse range of impacts that have resulted from this. In order to obtain a footing into into the bigger picture, I might suggest some consideration of Governments and Gobal Gonglomerants that are promoting, researching or using Clound Seeding right now, and rebviewing some of the impacts coming from this. The end question being,  …. is this activity helping, contributing or exacerbating global climate change.

Naturally enough, we cannot believe all actions will benefit the greater good. Nor should we fail to understand, that some man made technologies, such as Cloud Seeding, will not adversely impact the environment during the testing and development stages with the development of such programs, aimed at changing weather patterns.

Maybe this one of those topics where are our news media needs to do a littel more research, before we are abe to get greater disclosure on this topic, and its impacts with our climate and our global future.

The “3H” for every New Year. “Health, Happiness & Harvest”.

With the Chinese New Year celebrations for 2021 upon us, and the current Covid-19 pandemic still clearly in ou minds. Now is a good time to consider our plans and expectations for the coming year.

I am reminded, that every year, as the new year comes around, I am always looking for right words that might simply convey, and express, in a personal way, 3 key points most of us want to say to each other.

These being Health. Happiness and Good Fortune, or coming  from a chinese perspective. 恭喜发财 (gōng xǐ fā cái) “Wishing you wealth and prosperity.”

Whilst I think the majrity of us certainly would like Health and Happiness in our lives, I dont agree that every parent might agree with me, that they either seek, or want, a fortune for themselves or their family. Obviously, we all have our reasons for our actions, and I am fine with this, and fully understand that not everyone wants to constanly change the environment around them. Stability after all, is a very comforting thing for many of us.

For this reason, I think, HARVEST is a great third word to add to our NEW YEARS celebration sayings.

HARVESTING, in the case of our farmers, normally follows, and results from, work that was undertaken prior to the HARVEST period (ie. we clear the land, plough the fields, plant the crops, waater the fields and harvest the crops when they are ready). Therefore it follows, that if we do good things in the past, current and future, that at various times we will see the harvest we have performed in our lives as a reward for our EFFORTS at some point in the future.

HARVEST implies that you will reap something from what you have sown. For example, as a father or mother, the more energy we invest with our family, hopefully our harvest could be returned to us in future years, and in many ways … better behaved children,  children that are more respectful of others, children that want do more work around the house to help each other etc.

HARVEST can also imply that rewards or acknowledgement might be given or recognized for the efforts each of us might make at work or in the home by others.

“AGGRESSIVE UN-AUSTRALIAN LOCAL COUNCILS & LOCAL GREEN GROUPS ARE ROBBING AUSTRALIANS OF OUR PROPERTY RIGHTS”.

Firstly, let me start by saying from the outset, I am just as concerned as the next person, about protecting, preserving and maintaining our Public Heritage. I love to see and visit the many beautiful publically owned buildings (Museums, Government buildings and the like) that have been built throughout this fantastic counrtry of ours.

However, as a born and bread Australian citizens, I am certainly able to distinguish the difference between a publicly owned and funded property, versus a privately owned property that belongs to Australian citizens. More importantly, understadning the inherrent rights that should be afforded to each Australian property owner. This article is about the loss of our rights as Australian Citizens, and the Un-Australian activity, being waged within, by some of our local Councils in Australia.

Local Councils are being targeted by extremist from all areas of society within Australia. In this case, I focus particulary, on the Randwick Council in NSW, who are becoming well known for implementing a practice known as “Spot Rezoning”. Spot rezoning occurs when Councils implement new zoning guidelines to a specific property (ie. rezoning residential houses address for say a private home, despite that home already being part of the councils own local Development Control Plan (DCP). DCP are developed with a longer term to provide security and assurity for home owners and commecial property owners and developers alike. Some Councillors in more recent years have taken it upon themselves to go outside the DCP and target specific properties to suit their own alternative purposes, and because they want too.. Seriously, who’s home or commercial property will be next?

Whether you currently own Property now or not this RIGHT is important for you… Please consider signing our petition, and to help us to start the CHANGE, to save Australian Property Rights from being striped away from ALL Australians, as a result of abuse and misuse of the Federal Heritage Act by Local Councils and people on the extremes of groups such as the Green Movement in this case.

In our petition, “We are asking for the Heritage Act be amended. To include provisions making it compulsory, for anyone wanting to propose a property for Heritage and/or  Conservation Listing. That all such proposers, are made responsible for obtaining the written consent, and agreement, for the proposal, from the current Property Owners, and before the current property owners property, can be proposed, considered or approved, for either Heritage Listing or Conservation listing, in any Local, State or Federal Government listing or register etc, in any State or Territory, of Australia”.

The petition linked to this article is about a FAIR GO for all Australians. Nothing more. Nothing less, The current Heritage Act is 110% Un-Australian, and allows others to steal our private home ownership. The act is ruining our Dreams, and is stripping away our Australian Property Rights.

To quote a famous Australian film, “It’s not a house, it’s a home” and no one should dictate what you can do with your home if what your doing or proposing is within the legal guidelines alrady in place..

Thanks for your time.

Many thanks in advance.

Climate Change … is it Real or Not … for us, “the global citizens of the World” … whats your thoughts?

I read a recent article (24 nov 2018) on the CNN  website headed ..

“How great is the climate threat?”

the article goes on to say that

“A report released in October by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) – the leading international body evaluating climate change – said it could only be stopped if the world made major, and costly, changes.
That means reducing global emissions of CO2 by 45% from 2010 levels by 2030, and reducing coal use to almost zero, and using up to seven million sq km (2.7 million square miles) for land energy crops. If the world fails to act, the researchers warned, there would be some significant and dangerous changes to our world, including rising sea levels, significant impacts on ocean temperatures and acidity, and the ability to grow crops such as rice, maize and wheat.”   More recently, even our our poor COws and Pigs are being targetted for their supposed contribution to the looming Climate Change disaster.

So how do we “mere mortals” interpret this? Yes. Whilst we can all try to accept all things at face value, and believe others opinions in front of our own. This blind acceptance of others opinions (scientific or otherwise), is not necessarily always correct, nor may this be a smart thing for us to do in the long term, and for everyone’s sake… Just watch a few episodes of “Game of Thrones” if you want to see where the real loyalties lay, for all the lieutants and advisers, and the reasons behind the decisions they are giving suggestions or aid to their King/Queen or commander, and whose to say if the King/Queen or Commander are doing a cracker of a job in their own right either. Often, its certainly not about us….

Anyway …

Lets agree on one thing, we have a lot smart people in the world … and not necessarily are all of them going to be found working for, or in the Government, nor may they even be part of the typical scientific community.

Too be frank, and I appreciate that this can often be at a cost of personal criticism to themselves …. we need to hear from these people, people with no financial interest, people with no bias, and people with no direct personal investment or funding tied to this issue from either side, people genuinely concerned, global citizen like the rest of us..

Whilst not wanting to be poltical with this article, the recent Trump politics promised change, but reverted to old ideas that were aimed at destroying globalisation and highlighted the is obviously all about “showing us the money” in lieu of any other issues fullstop.  Stick with coal mate, and everything will be just great.

The Paris Accord,  on the other hand appears to be the only real alternative currently on the table, and many Governments are trying to do something we think.

Well maybe not …

One view, is that considering many of the climate change activists are also financially linked to their opinions, this means that basically they write, or give their opinons in a formal documents, to the very people who pay them and have requested them to write this. These views can be either pro or against climate change.

Well.  Who’s right?

Well, that’s a good reason why, we all need to think about these issues ourselves, and to listen to, and hear from people, with no financial stake in the climate change policy money making machine.

I am not a cynic, but I certainly would like more answers in plain english to understand the issue, as no doubt, do many other people.

Firstly, if I was to question the various scientific claims about climate change, my first questions would be these?

based on the following:

  1. Assuming water expands by around 9-10% when it freezes, (and as evident when a bottle of water expands when it freezes in your freezer, and might result with the lid explodes off the bottle, or should the ice force the bottle to crack open).
  2. Furthermore, if we are too believe, that as an average Iceberg hides somewhere between 80% to 90% (approx) of its total mass underwater! Wouldnt this mean, that when the ice actually melts, the net result between expansion and contraction of the ice, equals pretty much a level water level. (ie. the amount of ice on top of the water, would go back to same position before the water froze)
  3. YES, this is a simplistic concept, and I note that I got the values for ice displacement off a few different sites I found on google, but hopefully, it clearly shows my point in question.

How, do the Climate Change Advisers and Scientists, establish and support, their claim for rising sea levels, as a result of climate change, and the polar ice bergs melting. Are they expecting a big tide of water coming from the Himilayas and snow capped mountains?

Lastly, I believe (and with absolutely zero scientific evidence to back me up). That the total amount of water that we have on earth must be 100% finite.

For me, this means, there is a definite, and fixed volume of water at all times somewhere on earth, and that this total volume, cant change. YES. Let’s agree, water can be stored in hundreds of places, under ground, in dams and tanks, in oceans and rivers, in bottles, in car radiators, in our bodies, and in animals etc. Even as ice in our fridges or humidity in the atmosphere or in the clouds in the sky, before its rains down.

If this belief is tue, then, despite where the water might be found today. We would be unable to make any more water than existed yesterday, and we cant remove any water permanently either, to change this balance.

Hey, I fully accept, that I can be 100% wrong on all of this, and this is why I am expressing my view for open discussion. Importantly, I certainly welcome and encourage someone, to show me to scientifically, the error of my thinking in this respect… Truly.

But based on my experience, and based on what I see around me with my own eyes, and I am regularly at beach. For me, the sea levels dont appear to have changed at any of the beaches. Beaches, that I have been going to for many years in Australia. They simply dont appear, to have changed at all, and nor has the ocean/sea level, on a like for like beach terrain, appear to have raised noticeably.

YES. Indeed land can certainly sink, just as some land can be raised over time. Generally, such occurences are more likely to happen, if the country or island, is located on, or near, a continental shelf or tectonic plate etc. This action, unsurpisingly, is a result of the earths ow tectonic movements. I personally, have not seen this occurence happening along the eastern seaboard of Australia.

My basic premise for this believe is this.

When I lived with my parents. We used to have a Plant Terrarium. This was an elongated large bottle / jar, with a large cork cap that was used for opening or closing the jar. The jar was about 50 or 60cm (24 inches) round, and about 25 cm (12 inches) high. Inside this, Mum planted some evergreen type plants in the soil, put some decorations and stone inside as well, watered it for the first time, and then put the cork on to seal the jar. We pretty much never touched it again. (yes a few plants died as a result of poor plant selection in the first instance, but this Terrarium was a basically a self contained world, much like the bigger picture, being our earth, that revolves around inside the various atmospheres that lock in our air in space.

In our world, “the Earth”, the water evaporates, and goes into the atmosphere, as a result of the suns heat. The water cools, as a result of many factors, and comes back down to the earth as rain, hail, snow and storms etc. Some of this water downpour is then stored in our lakes and oceans, under the ground etc, in humans and animals (we are basically a walking sponge, full of water, and there are around 7.2 Billion humans holding onto lots of water etc). And then, the cycle starts all over again.

Whilst scientists, and others, might argue the semantics behind all this. The bottom line is, that I believe, this is pretty much the cycle as to how the earths water works.

Anyway. That enough on this for now. Hopefully we just might hear from someone with a more scientific response, rather then my personal, unfactual and non scientific opinion, that I currently believe.

THE NBN – farce or fixer

Per the article in AFN dated 10 Feb 2021 in regards to the NBN growing its client account database. “It said this was largely due to the shrinking subscriber costs to Telstra and Optus – legacy payments made to disconnect their existing customers so as to migrate them over to the NBN. Where NBN Co shelled out $1.44 billion in the first half of last financial year, it forked out only $809 million this time.”

Since April 2018 we have seen much of the new NBN become superfluous in Australia, with the fast rollout of the 5G networks by many competing providers.

One big benefit that comes with using the fixed line service versus the 5G mobile service, is that services like the NBN can provide its users with the ability to provide a fixed static IP address which is an important feature for many business users. Mobile services may not offer this.

Otherwise, let it rip and negotiate the best 5G deal you can. It’s a buyer market as companies like Telstra, will try to hold and maintain market share. For the time being, growing their market share might be all but impossible.

Australian poker machine licenses … the untold cost on society

Per the liquor and gaming website in NSW. To operate gaming machines in Australia, you need: a club liquor licence or a hotel liquor licence, sufficient Gaming Machine Threshold (GMT) for the number of machines you want to operate in your venue. a Gaming Machine Entitlement (GME) or a poker machine permit (PMP) for each gaming machine installed at the venue.

Mobile speeding cameras…. do they save lives or do they just raise revenue …

We are told that traffic monitoring cameras are only used for our own drib=ving and public safety and not because of the many millions and millions of dollars they generate the Government in fine revenues.

Certainly safety is paramount…. but what’s the real tangible benefits so far …

Can Australians afford the safety costs associated with Traffic management …. fine payments versus food on the table versus ability to meet electricity, gas and schooling costs etc.

Aiming for the worlds Trillionaires ….

Is everyone that craves wealth, actually a capitalist.

Many true entrepreneurs have strong ethics, big hearts, and the desire to share their fortune with people around them that have helped in their path to success.

Yet, like many things. Some entrepreneurs (and business owners) develop bad ethics, and are nothing more than  simple crooks. Some become a little more ingenious, and are happy to cross the line and make money at the expense of others. Yet some are just greedy, and will do anything to be rich.

Yet, many would agree, that whilst there are some obvious and noticeable flaws in the capitalistic system. Capitalism remains one of the most workable and democratic economic systems that is currently in place in todays society.

We have quite a number of high profile philanthropists amongst us, that care and contribute to society everyday. Despite this, many choose to remain hidden by their absence and obscurity.

Unfortunately, good news and good deeds, are not always credited as newsworthy, nor do they always bring the goodwill often intended for by the givers.

Yet success generally breeds success.

If you want to succeed, perhaps you might consider emulating some of the traits and behaviors of successful businesses and business founders that you might admire.

Forgetting about these Trillionaires, heres a story from CNN on 22 January 2019 stating that the top 26 billionaires are as wealthy as 3.8 billion people. I look forward to try and join them ….. don’t we all.
